When choosing a shed size, it is important to take two things into account: the place of shed (how much place can it take) and how many things will be stored there. This purchase will last many years, therefore it’s important to know what to expect from your garden shed and what it will be used for.
If you plan on storing small items, e.g. gardening tools or small items that don’t fit inside the house, compact 2-3 sq m sheds are perfect for it, they can easily fit in a small space and be built next to a house wall or garden fence. Although these garden sheds are not big, they are multi-purpose and can be used for convenient and organized storage of essential gardening tools, small garden equipment, bicycles and children’s toys.
If you want to storage bigger items like lawn tractor or motorbike, you will need more space. In this case, we recommend to choose a bigger garden shed of 12 or 18 sq m. If you want to safely storage a car – the best solution is to choose extremely spacious 18 sq m shed-garage. It is important to note that for storing heavy machinery the shed shouldn’t have wooden floors.
